Eyeshadow can be tricky for some people to apply, so today I’m going to show you how to re-create one of my personal favourite eye looks using Phoenix products! This Bronze Smokey Eye is perfect for a special occasion, or just to switch up your makeup look, so let’s get started!
When doing your eye makeup you always want to start with a base. I used a concealer all over my lids and set it with an eyeshadow that is close to my skin tone. By putting this base on your eyelids it ensures that your eyeshadow will last all day and will help the shadows show up better.
For this eye look I am starting with a light brown shadow (Phoenix Cosmetics ‘Cedar’) and I’m going to blend it into the natural crease of my eye. This light wash of colour will help the next shadows we apply blend nicely into each other.
Next I am taking a darker brown (Phoenix Cosmetics ‘Toffee’) and I am putting this in the same place as the previous shade but a little bit lower in the crease. This colour is adding depth to the eye look.
Next, I’m taking an even darker shadow (Phoenix Cosmetics ‘Coffee’) and I’m going to use a smaller brush, and place this in the outer corner of my eyes. When putting this colour down you want to make sure you blend it into the shadows in the crease just so you don’t have any harsh lines. I am also going to apply this shadow on my lower lash line just to help bring the eye makeup look together.
Then I am taking a shimmer shadow, you could use any shimmer colour you like with this look, but today I’m going for a bronze shimmer which was ‘Caramel Apples’ and I’m then going to place this on the inner half of my eyelid.
Next I am adding a winged eyeliner using the Phoenix Felt Lip Liner. This step is completely optional, I personally love having a winged liner so I did one for this look. Next you want to add mascara to your top & bottom lashes.
This is personally my favourite part, adding our false lashes! Today I’m using the ‘Mae West’ lashes from Phoenix Cosmetics. These lashes are absolutely stunning, they are definitely on the more dramatic side but they are my favourite style of lashes to wear. These lashes are so long and fluffy, and they are super easy to apply.
(Tip: Make sure you trim your false lashes and make sure they fit on your lash line comfortably before you apply them & wait for your glue to go tacky before applying them.)
So that’s the completed look! I love doing warm bronze smoked out eyeshadow for the colder seasons, and these false lashes really stand out and look amazing on everyone. Would definitely recommend trying this makeup look if you want to try something new!
